How Badly Do You Want It?

Written by Carolyn Savelle

Have you ever prayed for something over and over and you still didn't get the results you were believing for? Have you prayed the "Prayer of Faith" and every other kind of prayer you knew to pray, and it didn't work? It makes you wonder, "Well, last time it worked." Why isn't it working this time?

It feels like you are praying a hit-and-miss kind of prayer, and you don't really know why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Well, I have found the missing element in getting your prayers answered.

Since January of 1999, every prayer I've ever prayed, everything I've desired, everything I've asked God for has been manifest in my life...within moments, days and hours. The struggle of faith has ceased in my life.

I'm walking in a level with God that I have never walked in before, and I want to tell you how to get hold of everything that you have prayed and believed God for.

The first question you have to answer is: How bad do you want it? How bad do you want your healing when the doctors have said it's incurable? How bad do you want that new home when the world has said your credit is ruined? How bad do you want to be able to pay your bills on time? How bad do you want to get out of debt? How bad do you want your marriage restored and your children serving God? How bad do you want these things?

What is it that puts that reservoir of power to work on the inside of you and causes some of your prayers to be answered and some seem to be ongoing for years?

This is the mystery. This is the key.

This is the secret I want to tell you: Your faith will produce, proportionately speaking, no more than the intensity of your desire.

Did you understand that? If you're just wishing for something, just hoping, just mental assenting that eventually it will happen, one day . . . que sera, sera . . . "If it be Thy will" won't get it. There is a missing element in that kind of prayer.

You have to become intense about your needs and desires. You can't just confess: By His stripes I'm healed every once in a while and expect a miracle. You have to become extremely focused on getting your total healing and refuse to settle for anything less.

Intense means concentrated in an extreme degree, extreme strength, earnestness, strained, unremitting. I wouldn't call that casual praying.

Intent means engrossed, absorbed, fixed, attentive, intentional, deliberate, and willful.

Get Fed Up!
When you get to this place in your prayer life where you become so intense about getting the victory, you will not be denied. If you are believing God for relatives who have been unsaved for thirty years and you're fed up with it, you will see victory!

You will begin intently declaring, "No more are they going to be serving the devil. No more are they going to be doing drugs. "No more are they going to be out there getting drunk. No more are they going to reject Jesus."

Get fed up with it. It's time for them to get saved. We don't have another thirty years to keep believing them in. YOU have to get determined on the inside of you. You have to become intense, concentrated, engrossed, absorbed, attentive, and passionate that you will see changes made!

My little grandson, Preston, has this little move we call "The Preston Shake." When he was only about two years old, one day he clinched his little fists together and strained every muscle in his body until he just shook. He wasn't throwing a tantrum or anything. He just did it one day and we all started laughing. Now, all the other grandkids have done it.

Well, I think of "The Preston Shake" when I imagine myself being so focused, fixed, strained, deliberate, engrossed and willful on any particular thing that I am believing God for. I know that I will not be disappointed.

No More Delays
There's no struggle anymore when you get so intense on the inside of you. At once it will come to you. Immediately, you will receive it. There are no delays in it. The delays are gone! Why? Because we've run out of time. Time is being compressed down to these last moments that we have left on planet Earth, and God's Word will be fulfilled for His children.

I'm not just telling you something I made up. This works! I have had more prayers answered in my life since 1999 in such a short time frame, and I know that I have tapped into something from God. I have become intense in my prayer life. I just won't settle for anything less.

Have you ever sat down to put a puzzle together? You have all the pieces, you dump them out of the box, you turn all the pieces upright, and look for all the straight edges, right? Then you start to build the border and fill in the pieces. It's so much fun when you put that last piece in the puzzle, and you have a clear picture of what the cover on the box presented to you. I don't like to have a piece missing in my puzzle. If there's a piece missing, then the puzzle is not complete.

Well, God has given me a piece to the puzzle, and I believe it's one of the last pieces before the appearing of Jesus. Jesus wants His Church to be thoroughly furnished with everything He has prophesied in His Word from the beginning of Genesis to the end of Revelation. He wants us to have clear perception. He wants us to have the information, and He wants us to obtain all things that pertain to life and godliness.

If you'll lock into this and get a hold of it, it will change your life forever.
