It is not what you have that counts

2 Corinthians 10:3-7 (King James Version)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance?

Our warfare is spiritual and not in the natural realm.  If we learn to win the battle in the spiritual realm we will then see differences in our circumstances.

This passages teaches us:

Do not look at the outward appearance.

Do not look at your circumstances and accept this as your position in life.

Everything in life is growing. Where you are today is not where you will be tomorrow.  You will grow if you learn to apply these truths in your life.

The battle is in your mind. The thoughts and imagination of ones own heart. This is where you demonstrate your faith.

How often our imaginations are negative "Lord save us for we perish".

What do we see in life?

Do we see success or failure?

Do we see ourselves sinking or rising up strong in the Lord?

Do you look at what you have and say I have nothing, I can't do any better?

When you think like this you will receive this in life.

Is this the way the Lord wants you to think?

Paul in this passage says to "Cast down these negative imaginations".

"Cast down every high thing, every giant in your life, every mountain of difficulty, everything that exalts itself against the Word of God."

"Bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ".

The thoughts of lack - capture then and surround them with the thoughts of "My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory".

Meditate in God's mighty word.

Hallelujah!.

Be encouraged today to know that GOd is on your side and He will lead you to victory.

God bless
